Introduction

The Arista Networking - Campus Engineering (CAMPENG) course is designed for network engineers and administrators responsible for designing and building campus network infrastructure. This course concentrates on the engineering and architecture of Arista Layer 2 and Layer 3 campus networks, including both wired and wireless deployments.

You will explore key topics such as Arista Campus Architecture, CloudVision (CVP/CV-CUE), Layer 2 and Layer 3 Wired Campus Networks, Wireless Fundamentals, Campus Wireless Deployment, and Campus Security.

Key areas of expertise you will develop include:

  • Arista Campus Architecture: Understand the Cognitive Campus solution, universal cloud network architecture, campus fabric design options (7 design patterns from L2LS to L3LS with VXLAN-EVPN), resiliency solutions, and Arista stacking (SWAG).
  • Layer 2 Wired Campus: Build L2LS campus networks with VLANs, STP, LACP, MLAG, FHRP, using CLI, CVP configlets, and Studios.
  • Layer 3 Wired Campus: Design L3LS campus fabrics with BGP underlay, VXLAN overlay, EVPN (route types, IRB), and deploy via CloudVision Studios.
  • Wireless Engineering: Understand RF fundamentals, Wi-Fi standards, WLAN communications, 802.11 enhancements, and deploy campus wireless with CV-CUE.
  • Campus Security: Implement Zero Trust security with ACLs, private VLANs, AAA, RADsec, encryption, PKI, and EAP.
